antique stove by Nyborg A classic 1920's Danish antique stove made by the Nyborg Foundry. This very robust and handsome antique stove will run for 12 hours at a stretch without being looked at, having a large capacity for wood & coal.

Beneath the hinged lid on top of the stove is a hotplate for a kettle, below which is the top feed door for coal, containing a secondary combustion control. These antique stoves were very advanced - they understood the principals of secondary combustion of unburnt gasses by supplying oxygen to the top of the fire chamber. The main door of this antique stove further down has a pair of mica panels for viewing the fire. The air control is in the bottom door, and below that is a removable foot plate.
