The fire door is covered in dragonflies and moths while the mica windows to see the fire through are the wings of a butterfly. At the top of the firebox faceplate sits a frog with a snake resting it's head on each of his shoulders with their bodies curling down the sides to meet other snakes coming up from the bottom.

On the top of this antique stove is a hotplate and long log feed, and the top door on the front is to load coal or smaller logs through. Below the fire door is the ash door, inside of which is the ashpan. In front of that is a footplate to catch and ash that might spill.
